Celebrating Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday
The band took part in two concerts over the weekend of the 11/12th June. The first was an evening concert at Rolvenden church where the band played to a good sized audience, who enjoyed a varied programme ending in “Proms” style with flag waving and singing to Jerusalem, Fantasy on British Sea Songs and Pomp and Circumstance. The concert was also notable for the debut performance of “Sachmo” by Richard Warren our Principal Cornet.
The following day, although rather cloudy and raining saw the band playing at Horsmonden, again to celebrate the birthday of our reigning monarch.
The concert again saw a good audience who were not put off by the damp weather conditions.
