Two years on from our fantastic concert with Trombone Maestro, Chris Thomas, it was time once again to feature a guest soloist for our annual fundraiser concert supporting Demelza. This year we were very excited to announce that our guest for the evening of the 14th October would once again be from the world famous Cory band, and this time would be their Principal Cornet player, Tom Hutchinson.

Our normal conductor, Ian Lanceley was playing with another band in the North of the Country in the Whit Friday March competitions so it was guest conductor John Groves who normally conducts the Kent Police band, who had the baton today.
Saturday 16th October saw the band give its first indoor concert since the start of the Covid pandemic – and what a concert it was! The occasion was what has become our annual fund raising concert for Demelza Hospice and Chris Thomas, principal trombonist of the Cory Band was our guest soloist.

Sunday, September the 15th was the date of our final outdoor concert for this season and saw the band performing on a lovely sunny afternoon at Tonbridge Castle in Kent.

The Maestro Returns On Saturday 26th November, eminent musician and tuba virtuoso Steve Sykes returned to play with the band in a concert supporting the Demelza charity. It had been such a long time since we last saw Steve that only 7 of the band members remained from his previous visit some 18 years earlier

Cranbrook Town Band once again enjoyed a visit from John Hudson who travelled from Norway to spend the weekend of 5th and 6th of March with the band.
