The band were lucky enough to appear at Tonbridge Castle again this year and despite the very windy conditions, gave a concert which was thoroughly enjoyed by the sizeable audience.
On the day, Solo Horn player Alan Smithers was incapacitated with a sore back which necessitated Mark Hayman and Jon Vail doing a first class job of sharing the solo and first parts between them.
Thanks also to Colin Reid and Paul Labus for covering for holiday absences and to Siân for switching over to flugel for the day.
This was the band’s final performance prior to the summer holiday concert break and we’ll be back with a new programme on 14th October for the Demelza concert with Tom Hutchinson at St.
