Two years on from our fantastic concert with Trombone Maestro, Chris Thomas (See report), it was time once again to feature a guest soloist for our annual fundraiser concert supporting Demelza. This year we were very excited to announce that our guest for the evening of the 14th October would once again be from the world famous Cory band, and this time would be their Principal Cornet player, Tom Hutchinson.

The band were lucky enough to appear at Tonbridge Castle again this year and despite the very windy conditions, gave a concert which was thoroughly enjoyed by the sizeable audience. On the day, Solo Horn player Alan Smithers was incapacitated with a sore back which necessitated Mark Hayman and Jon Vail doing a first class

On a bright but slightly chilly afternoon of the 14th May, Cranbrook Town Band once again made the trip to Deal to play on the fantastic Memorial Bandstand to entertain locals and visitors alike.

The band were pleased to be back at one of their favourite venues of recent years, Tonbridge Castle on Sunday 3rd July.
Our normal conductor, Ian Lanceley was playing with another band in the North of the Country in the Whit Friday March competitions so it was guest conductor John Groves who normally conducts the Kent Police band, who had the baton today.
