Mette Lundorf

Mette started playing the trumpet in a marching band in Denmark ‘Thisted Garden’ when she was 10 years old and was luckily introduced to Brass bands in 1987 by Preben Noergaard Christensen and has never looked back.

She was lucky enough to visit many places and countries with Nordvestjysk Brass Band and also enjoyed success winning each section as the band progressed through the ranks.
When she moved to England in 1992 she played for Waterbeach brass and later, City of Cambridge Brass band in the first section followed by Battle Town band after moving to Hastings.

She still enjoys playing the cornet and the camaraderie of being in a band. She is also looking forward to our next band tour.
In 2023 Mette moved to join the front row on a permanent basis after covering the Repiano Cornet part for several years.
